Strategy from people who build, not just advise

Most consultants hand you a deck and a bill. Ours spend the rest of the week building technology — so the advice is grounded, jargon-free, and comes with a working example attached.

First, an honest question

Do you need a consultant — or just a decision?

Sometimes you just need a straight answer in an hour, not a report in a month. If that's the case, we'll tell you — and the free demo call is often enough.

Consultancy earns its keep when the decision is expensive, the options are genuinely unclear, and nobody inside the business has the time or distance to weigh them fairly.

Bring us in when

  • There are several options — and every supplier recommends their own.
  • A big spend is coming — and you want it tested before you commit.
  • A project has stalled — and nobody's quite sure why.
  • The board wants a plan — not a list of good intentions.
  • You don't know where to start — and everything seems to need digitising at once.

The Journey

From "where do we even start?" to a plan you'll actually follow

1
Listen · Understand

Your business, in your words

We start by listening — to you, your team and, where possible, your customers. No forms, no frameworks-first. We want the story: where you've come from, what's frustrating you, where you want to be in three years.

  • Free initial consultation
  • We talk to the people who do the work
  • Zero jargon, guaranteed
2
Audit · See clearly

An honest picture of where you stand

We review your digital presence, tools, processes and market position — then show you what we found in plain English. The good, the creaky, and the opportunities your competitors are missing too.

  • Digital & process audit
  • Competitor benchmarking
  • Findings you can understand at a glance

"They told us what NOT to spend money on. That alone paid for the engagement."

3
Strategise · Choose

A roadmap sized to your reality

Together we set the destination and the route: quick wins first, bigger moves sequenced so each one funds the next. Every recommendation comes with a cost, a payback estimate and an honest risk note.

  • Prioritised, costed roadmap
  • Quick wins inside 30 days
  • Vendor-neutral recommendations
4
Act · Deliver

We can build what we recommend

This is where we're different. If the plan calls for a portal, an integration or an AI assistant, the same team that designed the strategy can build it — or brief your existing suppliers and hold them to it. No hand-off, no finger-pointing.

  • Strategy and delivery under one roof
  • Or we manage your suppliers
  • Accountability stays with us
5
Review · Compound

Measured, reviewed, adjusted

Quarterly, we sit down with the numbers we agreed and ask the only question that matters: is this working? Plans adjust, markets shift — your strategy stays alive instead of gathering dust in a drawer.

  • Quarterly strategy reviews
  • KPIs reported honestly
  • A long-term partner in your corner

How we work

Three frameworks holding the project up

One for how we engage, one for how we reach a recommendation, one for how it's delivered — so you end up with something you can act on, not something to file.

A

Engagement

Fixed scope and fixed fee, agreed before we start, with a clear question to answer. No open-ended day rates drifting on for months.

  • A written question to answer
  • Fixed scope and fee
  • Named consultant throughout
  • Weekly check-in, one page
B

Approach

Evidence first: we look at how the work actually happens, what the data says and what people on the ground think — then weigh the options against your priorities, not a supplier's.

  • Shadowing and interviews
  • Data over opinion
  • Vendor-neutral options appraisal
  • Costs and risks shown plainly
C

Delivery

The output is something you can act on: a roadmap, a business case or a specification — written so your team, or any supplier, can pick it up.

  • Plain-English recommendations
  • Costed, prioritised roadmap
  • Specification ready to tender
  • Optional help implementing

The process

Seven stages, question to confident decision

Durations are typical, not promises — scope, integrations and the state of what already exists move them more than anything else. Discovery gives you a version of this table with your own numbers in it.

PhaseFocusWhat you getTypical
1. FramingAgreeing the question, the scope and who needs to be involvedEngagement brief, stakeholder listDays
2. Current stateShadowing, interviews, process and data reviewCurrent-state findings1–2 weeks
3. OptionsRealistic options, including doing less or doing nothingOptions appraisal with costs and risks1–2 weeks
4. RecommendationOur view, the reasoning behind it, and what would change itRecommendation and roadmap1 week
5. Business caseCosts, benefits and payback for the chosen routeBusiness case ready for the boardOptional, 1 week
6. Supplier supportSpecification, tender questions, evaluating responsesSpecification, evaluation scoringAs needed
7. Implementation oversightKeeping delivery honest, whoever builds itCheckpoint reviewsOptional, ongoing

We'll include "do less" and "do nothing yet" as genuine options. Sometimes the best return comes from fixing a process rather than buying anything at all.

Commercials

Priced so the risk sits with us

Every project is quoted individually — but the shape is always the same.

01

Review

A fixed-fee review answering one clear question — often the best place to start.

02

Project

Fixed scope and fee for a larger piece: roadmap, business case or specification.

03

Advisory

A monthly retainer for ongoing guidance, supplier oversight and a second opinion on call.

Changes are normal — you'll learn things partway through that you couldn't have known at the start. Each one gets a short written note on cost, time and knock-on effects, and nothing starts until you approve it.

Straight answers

What clients ask before they commit

You also build software — are you really neutral?

We'll always tell you if we think we're a good fit to build what we recommend, and we'll tell you when we're not. The specification we write is usable by any supplier, and there's no obligation to use us.

How long does it take?

A focused review is usually a few weeks. Larger pieces take longer, but you'll see findings as we go rather than waiting for the end.

What do we actually get?

Documents you can act on — a roadmap, business case or specification — written in plain English, plus a debrief with your leadership team.

Can you help us choose a supplier?

Yes. We'll write the specification, help shape tender questions and score responses fairly, including against off-the-shelf options.

Is what we share kept confidential?

Yes, and we're happy to sign an NDA before we start.

What if the answer is "do nothing"?

Then we'll say so, and explain why. It's sometimes the most valuable conclusion we can give you.
